Nicaragua’s Matagalpa region is home to Jittery Joe’s longest direct farm relationship in the coffee world – our partnership with the estate of Selva Negra. This direct partnership allows us to be intimately involved with the green sourcing process, to support the farm’s dedication to sustainability, and to be an ally in their commitment to employee education and health care.

Shade grown in the nutrient-rich, volcanic soil of the high elevation of the mountainous region, this coffee is a one of our year-round favorites. Selva Negra is a Rainforest Alliance Certified estate; the coffee is grown using environmentally sustainable farming practices.
